Fun House Twister Background
This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.
** Remember to save your work often! **
1. Open an image you wish to use. It can be any image, as each one will give you a different result. Personally, I prefer something with a good bit of color. Here is the image I am using; if you would like to use it, right click and save to your computer.
2. Resize your image to 200 x 200 (make sure "Maintain Ratio Aspect" is unchecked. Go to Edit - Copy. Open 20/20 and go to Edit - Paste as New Image.
3. Go to Image - Seamless Tile. Now Edit - Copy. Minimize 20/20 for now and go back to PSP and Edit - Paste as New Image.
4. Go to Effects - Blur - Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 12.
5. Go to Effects - Noise - Add 15% Uniform.
6. Go to Effects - Plugin Filters - Fun House - Twister and move the slider to 215. Click OK.
7. Go to Effects - Sharpen - Sharpen More.
8. Edit - Copy and go back to 20/20; Edit - Paste as New Image. Image - Seamless Tile; then Edit - Copy (you can close 20/20 now). Back in PSP, Edit - Paste as New Image.
9. Effects - Sharpen - Sharpen. Your background is now seamless and ready to use.
Here are a couple I did using different images.
