This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.

** Remember to save your work often! **

*** My plate stand was made from a tutorial by WBG Web Creations. You can find that tutorial HERE. Thanks for a great tutorial Wendy! ***

1. Open a transparent image 400 x 400.  Set your foreground to White.  Open the image you will be using for your plate and minimize for now.  If you would like to use the one I used, right click and save to your computer.

2. With your Selection Tool set to Circle, Feather 0, Antialias Checked, place your cursor at coordinates 200,200 and draw out to 395,395.  Flood fill with White.  Keep selected and go to Selections - Modify - Contract by 8.  Now go to Edit - Cut.

3. With your Magic Wand Tolerence and Feather set to 0 and Sample Merged UNchecked, click on the white edge to select it.  Your image should look like this:

4. Keep selected and go to Effects - Texture Effects - Sculpture and choose the Copper preset from the drop-down list.  Selections - Select None.

5. With your Magic Wand, click inside the circle.  Go to Selections - Modify - Expand by 3.  Add a new Raster Layer.  Go to Layers - Arrange - Move Down.  Keep selected.  Go to the image you will be using for the plate and Edit - Copy.  Go back to your plate image and Edit - Paste - Into Selection.  Keep Selected.

6. Selections - Modify - Contract by 45.  Add a new Raster Layer.  Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout and use these settings:

Color Black
Opacity 75
Blur 25
Vertical and Horizontal 0.

7. Keep Selected.  Add a new Raster Layer.  Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow and use these settings:

Color Black
Opacity 75
Blur 15
Vertical and Horizontal 0.

8. Selections - Select None.  Layers - Merge - Merge Visible.

9. Now go to Image - Resize to 250 x 250 (Resize all layers CHECKED).  Effects - Sharpen - Sharpen.

10. Here is our finished plate (yours will be on a transparent background):

14. Open the plate stand that was included in the zip file (or your own).  On your plate image, go to Edit - Copy, then on your stand Edit - Paste as New Image.  Position the plate on the stand; selections - select none.  Add a slight Drop Shadow and a background, or export as a tube (File - Export - Picture Tube).

A very special Thank You to Suz for testing this tutorial for me :-)
