Flag Heart
This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.
** Remember to save your work often! **
1. Open a transparent image 300 x 300. On your layer pallette, make your foreground color White.
2. Add a new Raster Layer (all layers will be Raster layers) and name it "heart". Load the "jd-heart" selection (Selections - Load from Disk). Flood fill with White. Selections - Select None.
3. Add a new layer and name it "right". Load the "jd-heart2" selection and flood fill with #FF0000. Selections - Select None.
4. Add a new layer and name it "left". Load the "jd-heart1" selection and flood fill with #0000C0. Selections - Select None.
5. Add a new layer and name it "stars". Load the "jd-heartstars" selection and flood fill with White. Selections - Select None.
6. Layers - Merge - Merge Visible.
7. Selections - Select All. Selections - Float.
8. Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout and use these settings:
Color Black
Opacity 45
Blur 28.8
Horizontal and Vertical 3.
9. Repeat the Cutout but change the Horizontal and Vertical to -3. Keep selected.
10. Go to Selections - Modify - Contract by 1. Selections - Invert and hit Delete on the keyboard. Selections - Select None.
You can now export as a tube (File - Export - Picture Tube), save in psp format or save as a transparent gif.
